The Third Fudan Urban Planning Forum (Shanghai Forum 2018 Session): Conference on Urban and Rural Planning for a Well-off Society were held in Fudan University.
Sponsored by Fudan University and China Urban Planning Association, co-organized by Shanghai Urban Planning Trade Association, Fudan University Urban Development Research Institute and Shanghai Fudan Planning&Architectural Design Institute, the third Fudan Urban Planning Forum: Conference on Urban and Rural Planning for a Well-off Society, as one of the Shanghai Forum 2018 sessions, was held on May 28, 2018 at Fudan University in Shanghai.
Consultant of Urban Development Research Institute of Fudan University, Vice Chairman of Shanghai CPPCC Zhou Taitong, Honored President of China Urban Planning Association, former Deputy Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department Zhao Baojiang, President of China Urban Planning Association Tang Kai, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Zhao Hui, Director of Shanghai Planning and Land Resources Administration Zhuang Shaoqin, Vice President and Secretary General of China Urban Planning Association Wu Jianping, Chairman of Shanghai Urban Planning Trade Association Mao Jialiang, Director of Urban Development Research Institute of Fudan University, deputy director of Shanghai Planning and Land Resources Bureau Xu Yisong, and Chen Limin, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Fudan University, attended the opening ceremony of the forum and delivered an opening speech. The opening ceremony of the forum was hosted by Liang Hong, Dean of the Urban Development Research Institute of Fudan University. The forum sessions were respectively hosted by Tang Kai, President of China Urban Planning Association, Zhang Qin, Director of Hangzhou Planning Bureau, Qian Shaohua, Vice President of Shanghai Urban Planning and Design Institute, and Zheng Degao, Dean of Shanghai Branch of China Urban Planning and Design Institute.
More than 400 guests and representatives from various fields in urban and rural planning in various regions of the country responded to the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and built a well-off society in the 100 years of the founding of the Party, and placed the construction of a well-off society in the "four comprehensive" strategic layout. The main purpose of the call is to scientifically grasp the principles and policies of the party since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, fully understand the spirit of Central City Work Conference, and conscientiously implement the "Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Further Strengthening the Management of Urban Planning and Construction". A number of important issues in urban and rural planning with general significance have been extensively and intensively discussed.
